Update

Sorry it's been a while since I posted I have had some computer problems and started a new adventure. I have decided to return to college for my B.A. in criminal justice. I'm different then most people I missed college work learning new things and complex things that make me think. In other news I decided to restart my fish tank. My sister gifted me with fancy tail guppies due to hers multiplying like crazy. College starts again in a week and my nephew starts Kindergarten in two weeks. It's hard to believe that he's old enough to start Kindergarten, but he's excited. A goal I have set is to do better at blogging.

Blog Introduction

Hi! Welcome to my new blog. Several people have asked how I'm losing weight and that they wish that they could lose weight as well. I decided that I would start a blog to share how I am losing weight along with other things.

Since people have asked about weight loss I will start my blog out with a post about my weight loss.

What works for me to lose weight may not work for others.  It's all about finding what works for you.  So how I am losing weight.  I finally came to the place where I can share what was a large contributing factor in my weight gain.  A few years ago I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/pcos/basics/definition/CON-20028841 with Insulin resistance.  The insulin resistance made it basically impossible for me to lose weight.  I went to my doctor and told her that no matter how hard I try I can't seem to lose weight.  Long story short after many tests, blood work and specialists I was diagnosed.

So with life style changes including a diet (probably not strict enough) and medication I'm slowly losing weight.  If you are having problems losing weight it wouldn't hurt to say something to your doctor.  It could be something little like vitamins or a doctor that knows your health may have ideas on ways to help you lose weight. Another key is to identify the type of exercise that is best for you.  The type of exercise depends on the location of weight that you are trying to lose, your health restrictions and what type of exercise works with any contributing health issues. The correct diet and exercise work wonders when trying to lose weight.

Thank you for reading.
